Women on the Trails Race Series

Remember having fun running through the woods, chasing frogs or butterflies, and coming home with dirty clothes and leaves in your hair?
Welcome to the Women on the Trails Race Series!

Each 5K race offers a fun and challenging event for women who are new to trail running or for experienced runners who are looking for a different type of race venue.  The race is capped at 200 participants to keep the event fun and personal, and spectators are welcome to volunteer and cheer!

~~ NOTE FOR ALL RACES: There will be NO water cups at the water stops. Please plan to bring your own water bottle to refill. Run Green!~~

A great spectator-friendly race venue with fantastic scenery, on-course water stops,
a unique finisher's gift for each race, a super soft and comfy long sleeved tee shirt.

Refreshments and coffee by local vendors will be provided at the finish line.
Water will be available at the start/finish (and on the course) but remember to bring your own water bottle!!

Race Terrain The course is a mix of dirt, rock, and mulch and features rolling terrain with the exception of what we are calling "Holy Hill" (as in holy cow that's a BIG hill)! Most of the race is on a disc golf course so bring your frisbee! We didn't call this race bruises and bandages for nothing! The first and last mile is on hilly, technical terrain with a lot of single track and skull rock. The "middle mile" is along the shore of Lake Georgetown on a gently rolling wide jeep road. Meadows and fields describe this course. Set just north of Buda, it follows Onion Creek (don't worry - no creek crossing) on a fairly flat course with a few rolling hills and many twists and turns on mostly double-track trail and jeep road.

3 Things to Know about Running Green!

1. NO WATER CUPS on the race course. Bring your own bottle. We will provide water.
2. BYOB: We provide the goodies, you provide the bag! Please bring your own bag to packet pickup.
